At the age of 38, Eva Longoria has been crowned Maxim's 2014 Woman of the Year and the former Desperate Housewives star is delighted with the honor.

"It's especially awesome after how long it's been since my first cover," she said. "I've had a beautiful relationship with Maxim over all these years."

Longoria, who first covered the magazine in January 2005, was also named the hottest female celebrity that year. She then topped Maxim's Hot 100 List again the following year.

While she looks stunning on the cover solely wearing a white tank top, Longoria admitted she's not always that glamorous.

"One thing people are usually surprised about when they get to know me is how domestic I am," she told the men's lifestyle magazine. "So when you see the sexy Maxim cover and then you put it against me in an apron with flour in my hair, it takes a moment to reconcile that image."

The actress and producer, who recently received her master's degree in Chicano studies from California State University in 2013, also revealed what she was like in high school.

"Back in high school I really was the chameleon, too," she said. "I got along with the honors math club, then I would go to cheerleading practice, and then I was a band geek as well."
