Chicago Fire's season 2 is coming back to TV in one day and judging by the episode teaser it will be intense.

The upcoming episode titled "Shoved in My Face," reveals that Gabriela Dawson is accepted in Chicago's firefighter academy. As Gabriela begins her training as a firefighter, Matthew Casey is fighting for his life.

In the previous episode of season 2, the firefighter was shown saving the life of a crying baby, who would have been killed by a house fire. As Casey tried to escape the building, a beam collapsed on him. Now, he is seen in surgery that "may take a while."

According to the show's Twitter page, the episode will reveal whether or not Casey will survive.

"You have one day before you find out if they can #SaveCasey," the official page tweeted on Monday.

As EnStars previously reported, however, the firefighter will make it. Jesse Spencer, who plays the lead character Casey, posted a Twitter photo in December 2013 with the caption, "Don't mess with the mudatruckers." Two days later he also posted a snowy photo of some of the cast wrapping up an episode at 4 a.m.

Spencer's Twitter pictures, as well as the episode's press release, reveal that he will recover from the accident that sent him to the hospital in the last episode, titled "Not Like This."

In a later scene in the new episode teaser, Chief Wallace Boden is heard trying to uplift his discouraged team.

"Listen to me you got it in you," Chief Boden says. "Never give up when there's something worth fighting more. You're family here at 51. We are all right behind you, every step of the way."

Chicago Fire returns on Tuesday, Jan. 7 at 10/9c on NBC.
