Girls star Allison Williams graces one of the four covers of Elle magazine's Women in TV issue where she talks about her admiration for a fellow actress' style.

"I wanted to establish a baseline: Here's what I look like, I have long brown hair, I wear this kind of dress, this is the deal. You can count on it!" Williams told Elle about her fashion choices.

"Look at Jennifer Aniston: she's America's sweetheart for a reason. You know what she's going to look like when she shows up to something, and there's something so comfortable in that."

When it comes to her career, however, Williams has no desire to stay confined. Instead, she wants to play a diverse list of characters.

"I want to play a villain. I want to play a romantic heroine. I want to play someone who's on heroin. There's nothing I don't want to do. I want to play a guy at some point," she also told the magazine. "I'll gain 100 pounds, I'll cut my hair off, I'll do whatever. I'm not precious about any of it."

When she visited Today on Monday, the 26-year-old also revealed she'd love to have a music career at some point in the future.

"Singing on the show as Marnie is very specific and different," Williams said. "It would be very exciting to do something as myself eventually. I'd love to do an album or something."

Williams and the rest of the ladies from Girls return to HBO on Sunday, Jan. 12 with two episodes starting at 10 p.m.
