At least one of the actors on Game of Thrones now has confidence that his character will survive through season 4.

Michiel Huisman, who was recast to play Daenerys Targaryen's (Emilia Clarke) love interest Daario Naharis for Game of Thrones season 4, will also be in the potential fifth season. The news comes from TVLine, which reports that Huisman has been bumped up to series regular for the prospective season 5.

Huisman replaces actor Ed Skrein, who played Daario in Game of Thrones season 3.

While Daario is still alive in George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire book saga on which the series is based, the news still comes as a surprise for such a supporting character.

MAJOR BOOK SPOILERS AHEAD:

Daario and Dany begin to have a love affair in A Storm of Swords, the third novel in the book series. Those around Dany completely disapprove of the affair, especially Jorah (Iain Glen), who is still in love with her.

While Daario does not do too much for the remainder of A Storm of Swords, it is safe to assume that he will be romantically involved with Dany for a long time. He eventually becomes a prisoner of Yunkai, voluntarily, a city that eventually rises up against Dany. However, this will likely happen in later seasons, as noted by Wetpaint.
