2 Broke Girls stars Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs revealed what they hope will happen on the show this year.

"I'd love to see Bette Midler play Max's mom," Dennings told TV Guide about her character. "I love her. Max is always talking about how horrible her mom was."

Behrs also wants another Hollywood veteran to play her mother - Goldie Hawn.

"We keep talking about how she left and never came back when Caroline was really young," she said. "Either one of them - or even Diane Keaton - would fit in quite well on our show!"

What they don't want, however, is for their characters to settle down and get engaged during season 3.

"The girls are still young and focused on their careers. Unless we run for like 10 years, when we're 2 Broke Old Ladies, we'll probably stay single," Behrs said. "We're kind of each other's boyfriends on the show, because we're always together."

To that Dennings added: "Absolutely! I'm open to anything, but the romance on the show is ultimately Max and Caroline."

Aside from their hit show, the two ladies are also getting ready to host the People's Choice Awards on Wednesday night. Dennings and Behr will host with material written by their show's sitcom writers, which Behrs called "amazing."

"It'll be interesting and fun for people to see us as ourselves - but a heightened stage version of ourselves," Dennings said.
