Kelly Osbourne and chef Matthew Mosshart called off their engagement after two years together, a rep for the Fashion Police co-host confirmed Wednesday, Jan. 8.

"The split is amicable and the pair continue to have nothing but the utmost respect for one another," the rep said in a statement to E! News. "Kelly is looking forward to a new year full of fresh beginnings. No further comments will be provided by all parties and we request privacy, decorum and space from the press but don't expect it."

The couple met in the summer of 2011 at Kate Moss' wedding. The vegan chef proposed last summer while they were vacationing in Anguilla.

Shortly after the proposal, Osbourne said of Mosshart, "I've never felt this close to another human being, ever. People say we're co-dependent, but we just want to be together all the time." Mosshart in return told Britain's Hello! magazine,"I knew she was 'The One' pretty early on."

The couple had a long distance relationship at first, but then Mosshart moved for Osbourne.

"Matthew made the biggest sacrifice anyone's ever made for me, to move away from everything that he knew to be with me in LA," Osbourne gushed to the British magazine. "Long-distance relationships often don't work out. We'd dated for a year and knew we wanted to be together...Matthew has broken down every one of my walls. There's nothing I wouldn't do in front of him."

She and Mosshart were last photographed together in public Dec. 12 at the amFAR Inspiration Gala in Hollywood.

The 29-year-old star hinted at something being wrong when she tweeted Wednesday, "its all about perception sometimes the bad things that happen in life aren't really bad at all especially when you learn something from it!"
