Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon may have faced tons of divorce rumors but the couple is still going strong.

The multi-platinum singer and her hubby of five years are on the cover of Ebony's February issue where they spoke about their love.

"It was early on when I found out how spiritual she was, and we had conversations about kids and how to live life," Cannon said. "For her to share these values, it instantly let me know this is the person I've always wanted."

The two, who are parents to twins Moroccan and Monroe, are both wearing red and embracing each other on the cover. Despite being in a pool, Carey also made sure to still wear high heels.

The Art of Letting Go singer gushed about her daughter, who appears to be taking after her mother's lavish taste.

"The other night I had on a ruby and diamond necklace and earrings," Carey told the magazine. "Ms. Monroe looked at me and said, 'Where's my necklace?'"

Despite speaking fondly of their family life, the couple has been accused of a failed relationship several times.

For example, the gossip website, Radar Online, reported in November 2013, that the couple's "once hot love affair" was turning sour because of distance. The website said it had been 107 days since the couple was photographed together.

One month prior, the National Enquirer, also published a similar report speculating that the couple was heading for divorce.

However, Cannon bashed the bogus report and tweeted, "The@NatEnquirer is for sale! I tried to buy the company but my accountants keep saying its not worth the money . #liars #getverified."
