Robert Pattinson is preparing to head off to Morocco for filming, and it does not look like he will be making a stop in Los Angeles to spend some time with Kristen Stewart.

Stewart's former beau spent the bulk of December in his hometown of London and he will be returning there before he begins work on Werner Herzog's Queen of the Desert.

Although there were rumors that the 27-year-old Twilight actor was planning on reuniting with his old flame for a New Year's Eve date of the Isle of Wight, Stewart rang in 2014 form Los Angeles while Pattinson was spotted eating a pre-New Year's Eve lunch with Dakota Fanning in New York City. Instead of heading out west after Jan. 1, Pattinson decided cross the pond once more.

"Kristen was looking forward to seeing Rob before he left for Morocco. There was talk of him possibly coming to LA after his New York trip, but he decided to spend the remainder of his time before filming with his family in London," said a source, according to Hollywood Life. "Of course Kristen was disappointed with his decision, but she's been nothing but supportive and understanding. She realizes how important his family is to him."

Despite the growing distance between the former couple, Stewart has been sighted out and about in the Los Angeles area, happily hanging with friends and walking her new dog, Bailey.
