During a press conference to promote the third season of Girls on Jan. 15 at London's Cineworld Haymarket, creator/actress Lena Dunham revealed that the show attempted to cast Dornan following his attachment to Fifty Shades, but were too late.

"[We] requested Jamie Dornan, but the thing is, we requested him post-'Fifty Shades of Grey' casting. He's amazing, but I just feel it's too late," she explained.

In other recent Fifty Shades happenings, singer/actress Rita Ora was recently spotted arriving in Vancouver to start filming the part of Mia, Grey's sister.

The 23-year-old had officially announced her attachment to the erotic project via Instagram in December with the following caption:

"It's official! I've been cast in @FiftyShades of Grey AS Christian's sister Mia."
