After a wide amount of speculation, it now appears there is a possibility that Paul Walker's character in Fast & Furious 7 will die.

Earlier reports indicated that Walker's character Brian O'Conner would actually retire from the series as part of a plan to satisfy fans and do something with the footage Walker had already shot.

According to Latinpost, there is still open speculation, however. on what will happen to Walker's character.

Writer Chris Morgan revealed that pretty much anything could happen at this point, and that nothing had been decided yet.

"There's nothing set in stone at all," Morgan said. "Those are just the conversations we're just now having. Nothing's decided. Everything is still open and on the table."

According to International Business Times, also mentioned that itwas believed that if the character was to retire, the reason would be because he would no longer wish to be a part of the "adventurous entourage". He would retire because of his marriage and family.

In an interview conducted before his death, Walker revealed that Kurt Russell would be a guest star in the film, and that his character would serve as a type of father figure and older brother for his character.

Russell also revealed in Entertainment Weekly that Walker was a "terrific guy" and that their lives were "similar."

The film was originally supposed to open in theaters in April 2014, but has been pushed back a year to accommodate for Walker's death.

The film will now release on April 10, 2015.
