Rap singer Drake hosted Saturday Night Live on Jan. 18, 2014, displaying his comedic side as well as a live musical performance. It was a night filled with skits on his ethnicity and his acting days on Degrassi: The Next Deneration.

The rapper's clips consisted of a spoof of baseball player Alex Rodriguez and CNN's Piers Morgan, Drake's bar mitzvah, a play on Lil Wayne on Family Matters, portrayals of films, including Freedom Writers, Indiana Jones as well as Bill Cosby, and a look back on when the rapper portrayed the basketball star in a wheelchair on Degrassi: The Next Generation.

Drake's performances consisted of his latest hits, Started From the Bottom, Trophies and Hold On We're Going Home.

You can watch these clips on MTV.

When the rapper was introduced as the host, he walked onto the stage and told the audience random facts about himself.

He mentioned that he is Candadian, he was a star in Degrassi: The Next Generation and he invented the term "YOLO."

"I'd really like to take this opportunity to publicly apologize," Drake jokingly said. "I did not realize your annoying friends and co-workers would use it so much. My sincerest apologies."

The Take Care singer then mentioned that he was Jewish, which delved into a skit about his family at his bar mitzvah.

The skit started off with his parents introducing their son for his speech when the rapper gave a comment in Hebrew to his mom's side of the family. To his dad's side of the family, he said "Wass-uup!" jokingly referring to his father's skin color.

Drake started thanking his family during the skit when one special thanks went to his Uncle Larry and his Aunt Kim (who turned out be Aunt Rhonda) "who came all the way from Memphis tonight." Drake's Uncle Larry was played by Kenan Thompson.
