As DeGeneres talked about how excited she is to host the ceremony this year, she mentioned a moment she and Streep had the first time she hosted.

"The last time I hosted, I was vacuuming and you lifted your feet for me and you played along, it was great," DeGeneres told Streep. "I'm gonna find you again this year and do something with you in the audience again."

Streep also mentioned that she didn't think she was going to be nominated this year because she feels like she's "old news."

"You read the papers and they all say 'Oh, she doesn't have a chance,' but because I'm so old news," the actress said.

The host then asked Streep if she knew how many awards she has won throughout her career. Streep admitted she didn't, prompting DeGeneres to reveal that Streep has won 119 total awards.

Streep has a total of 18 Oscar nominations; she won three for Kramer vs. Kramer, Sophie's Choice and The Iron Lady.
