Game of Thrones fans who like Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie) will be pleased to know that she'll have a lot to do in season 4.

With the fourth season of Game of Thrones just a few months away, fans are eagerly anticipating returning to the land of Westeros. Fans who are impatient, however, can look to George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire book series to see how the story continues.

Brienne should have a few interesting story lines in season 4, with the writers adapting the second half of A Storm of Swords, the third book in the saga.

MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD:

While visiting King's Landing, Brienne stumbles upon Loras Tyrell (Finn Jones), who is not happy to see her. Loras is under the assumption that Brienne killed his former lover Renly Baratheon (Gethin Anthony) and wishes to take revenge on her.

Brienne will ultimately be saved by enemy-turned-friend Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau). Jaime manages to convince Brienne and Loras to hash it out through words instead of fists. Brienne tells Loras that she did not kill Renly and explains that it was actually a shadow creature. Loras is convinced and all is well between them.

Jaime gives Brienne a new sword and commands her to go searching for Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner), who escaped King's Landing after Joffrey's (Jack Gleeson) wedding. Brienne agrees to do so after having previously vowed to protect the children of Catelyn Stark (Michelle Fairley).
