Deathlok is coming the Marvel's Agents of SHIELD.

Well, actually, he has been there since the premiere. Centipede subject Mike Peterson (J. August Richards) will become Deathlok on Feb. 4 during "T.R.A.C.K.S."

Presumed dead following an explosion during "The Bridge," viewers believed the young hero had left his son fatherless (see video below). Little did they know, the former Centipede experiment turned SHIELD asset was about to undergo yet another transformation when someone pieces together his injured body to create the well-known cybernetic solider.

"We have been waiting all season for this moment where we can reveal that Mike Peterson's story arc is an origin story," said executive producer Jeffrey Bell, according to Marvel. "We're thrilled to have J. August Richards playing Deathlok and to have our audience enjoy this favorite Marvel character on the show."

What remains a mystery, however, is whether or not the new Deathlok will look kindly on the agency he nearly sacrificed his life for. Will the latest superhero cross the line and become a supervillain? What ever the case may be, Richards is excited to take his character to the next level, telling Marvel "It's a dream come true."

"All that time running around the house in Underoos with a towel on my back has FINALLY paid off!!!" Richards joked on Twitter.

Thor: The Dark World's Lady Sif (Jamie Alexander) will also be bringing her superpowers to the small screen this season.

Marvel's Agents of SHIELD airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. Click the video below for a glimpse of Mike Peterson before the transformation.
