Amanda Bynes appears to be continuing down a path towards a healthier life after being released from a rehabilitation facility in early December.

The actress, 27, who left an inpatient mental health treatment facility just before the holidays, has wrapped up a week-long stay at the exclusive Miracles Utah Fitness Retreat.

According to People Magazine, the actress arrived at the facility on Jan. 4, where she spent one entire week doing six-hour daily workouts and eating healthy meals.

"She wanted to focus on her health and getting her body back in shape," Miracles owner Austan Torson said. "Her main goal was to lose 5 lbs. and she did."

The stay took place just a few weeks before the actress began classes at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Orange County, where she is reportedly taking classes to eventually start her own fashion label.

At the $3,250 a-week center, Bynes joined a group of 15 others for daily cardio and core exercises, as well as healthy meals and lectures on nutrition and health.

"She brought a lot of life to the program. She was really funny, fired up and open to anything," Torson said.

Bynes was forcibly hospitalized back in July 2013 after a series of erratic behaviors, culminating in the actress lighting a fire in a neighbor's driveway in her hometown of Sherman Oaks, Calif.

While hospitalized, her mother gained indefinite control over the star's life as she was diagnosed with forms of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
