The husband of The Real Housewives of Atlanta co-star Phaedra Parks is back in trouble with the law, The Atlanta Constitution Journal reported Friday.

Apollo Nida surrendered to police and is charged with fraud including bank fraud and identity theft. The U.S. District Attorney's office reportedly filed the complaint against Nida Thursday. He was released on a $25,000 bond and is awaiting a preliminary hearing scheduled on Feb. 12, 2014.

He was allegedly working with a woman named Gayla St. Julien, who has been under investigation since February 2012 for stealing identities to commit bank and check fraud racking up to $3 million, according to a report from Alexandre Herrara, U.S. Secret Service Agent in the Counterfeit and U.S. Treasury Squad.

Nida is said to be St. Julien's partner in crime in "executing the legwork of his fraud schemes" such as stealing identities to open bank accounts and even apply for loans under the victim's name. On top of that, Nida allegedly launched a fraudulent auto lot.

Authorities working on the case say St. Julien recorded her and Nida's conversations which prove that he was involved in the scams.

This isn't the first time Nida has had legal woes. He was in prison from 2004 to 2009 after he was convicted for racketeering charges related to auto title fraud. Shortly after being released he tied the knot with Parks.

Nida currently stars in Bravo's popular reality show The Real Housewives of Atlanta airing Sundays at 8/7c.
