Rumors have emerged that Britney Spears is engaged to her boyfriend David Lucado after she was spotted wearing a ring on her finger. 

According to Daily Mail, the singer was photographed picking up sons Sean Preston and Jayden James up from basketball practice on Saturday wearing a gold band. She was wearing an aquamarine off-the-shoulder top with billowing sleeves. See photos here.

Spears and Lucado have only been dating for eight months now, but she says she's already in love. 

Meanwhile, Spears' ex-boyfriend Adnan Ghalib recently spoke out against the platinum-selling singer about when she hit rock bottom after she lost custody of her kids around Christmas, 2007. 

"The sight of the Christmas tree and all the gifts for the kids just broke her," Ghalib said, according to The New York Daily News.

"What she was trying to run away from hit her head on, and she fell like a sack of potatoes to the floor and couldn't stop sobbing," Ghalib continued. "I put my arms around her and tried to comfort her, but no words were getting through."

Ghalib noted that Spears had expressed suicidal feelings and "wanted to end her life".

"Christmas Day 2007 was just the most heartbreaking thing I have ever seen," he recalled. "Britney was literally drowning in despair, fighting for breath, feeling her life was slipping away."

"This was no drug collapse, but a human being grieving to the point where she almost had no concern for her own welfare."
