Actor Mark-Paul Gosselaar, who played Zack Morris on "Saved by the Bell" between 1988 to 1994, admitted that the hit teen series was "not a great show". The 38-year-old said to Yahoo: "The writing is kind of hokey... it's very much a piece of that time."

Although the series is what kick-started his acting career, Gosselaar said he learned a lot from doing the show. "It taught me to have a strong work ethic, and to take it very seriously. Even though we had fun, the one thing the producers instilled in us is that this is a business. You can still have all your fun, but you have to do your job, and then you can reap all the benefits at the end."

He also went on to say that he did not think that the show would be that successful. "We just thought we were doing a small little Saturday morning show and no one was watching. We were almost canceled every season. So we never got big heads."

Gosselaar currently stars in TNT's lawyer show "Franklin & Bash".

Last month, Lark Voorhies, who played "Lisa Turtle" told Michael Yo's Yahoo! webseries "The Yo Show" about what she's been up to lately. She said that she won the role on the show "by default" and that now she is "quite wonderful and very busy."

When asked about a possible reunion for the SBTB case, Voorhies said: "We tend to circumvent and come back to this topic. So there may be some buzz. If it did happen, it wouldn't be a bad thing."
