Demi Lovato, who entered rehab when she was 18 years old, gave her praise to Kesha for doing the same.

"Yeah, I wish her the absolute best and I think she is doing a really great thing for herself," Lovato said during a recent pre-Grammys interview, according to E! Online.

"It's really great when you take time out of a schedule that everybody wants you. There are so many things, you work so hard and then you kind of forget about yourself, and you don't really get to treat the things that everyone has like stress. You just kind of throw yourself into work."

Earlier in January, Kesha entered Timberline Knolls Centre outside of Chicago to treat an eating disorder. It's also the same treatment facility that Lovato stayed in while dealing with an eating disorder and self-harm issues in 2010.

"I'm a crusader for being yourself and loving yourself, but I've found it hard to practice," Kesha said in a statement. "I'll be unavailable for the next 30 days, seeking treatment for my eating disorder...to learn to love myself again, exactly as I am."

She later updated her fans on her condition via Twitter as her friend wrote a special message to them.

"This is Kesha's friend. She asked me to tweet an update for her because she doesn't have access to twitter right now," the tweet read.

"She says "THANK YOU. SOOO MUCH. I'm overwhelmed to tears by all of the love, letters, and support!! I'll be back soon and better than ever."
