Rumor has it that Katrina Kaif might be afraid to get married.

The Bollywood star and her boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor reportedly don't have plans to marry just yet because the actress wants to focus on her career while her beau isn't ready to commit, according to BollywoodLife on Thursday.

The actress may be afraid to get married due to fear of losing her career. The website pointed out that other stars like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Kareena Kapoor Khan lost their careers after their nuptials. However, Bachchan could make a comeback in a new film by Mani Ratnam.

Yet, other reports claim that Kaif may actually be ready to become Mrs. Kapoor, but it's her boyfriend who doesn't want to tie the knot. If this is true, then this could be a reason why the couple didn't fly back together after their vacation to New York for New Year's.

The Dhoom: 3 star recently gave details on what it means to be in a relationship and revealed that she intends to remain private.

"Being in love and being in a relationship are two different things," Kaif said. "A relationship which is not fully committed to, or which has not yet reached a culmination is something I believe you should be discreet about. And I have always tried to be discreet about what's in my life."

According to BollywoodLife, Kaif really did keep her relationship private since she never confirmed dating rumored ex-boyfriend Salman Khan. 

Kaif's previous credits include Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Dhoom: 3 and Ajab Prem Ki Ghazeb Kahani.
