Jennifer Aniston made headlines in the entertainment world when she debuted a significantly shorter hairdo last November.

But now rumors are circulating that the Horrible Bosses star hated her new look so much that she went and got hair extensions.

"Jen had been complaining to friends that she didn't like the short hairdo...she thought she wanted a drastic change, but felt it wasn't the right look for her. Instead of just growing her hair out, Jen opted to have hair extensions put back in, which she has utilized in the past," a source reportedly told RadarOnline.

"The entire process to put the extensions in took over five hours because of the amount of extensions she needed. If Jen was trying to have healthier hair, well, it's not going to happen with those extensions."

Aniston's longtime hairstylist Chris McMillan cut her long hair in late October and she revealed that it was hard for her to adjust.

"It wasn't for a role. My hair went through a phase-I did this thing called a Brazilian and my hair did not react really well to it," she told Elle U.K. on Nov. 1.

"The minute I cut my hair I want it back. Always. It's a guarantee. I'm trying really hard to love this one."

The former Friends star also spoke with Vogue and explained where the inspiration for the specific cut came from.

"I was flipping through the television channels and I paused it to take a picture and I sent it to Chris, and he said, 'That's [stylist] Lawren Howell from Vogue!' And then he said, 'I just cut that!' So that's it," she said. "He went way shorter than hers, but she was the inspiration."
