While the American Horror Story season 4 concept has not yet been revealed, co-creator Ryan Murphy is continuously dropping hints to tide fans over.

Murphy spoke with The Huffington Post Canada about the next season of American Horror Story, teasing that Jessica Lange would be coming back.

"She says it's her last [season] but I'm going to do everything I can to convince her to continue with the series because I see AHS running for decades," Murphy said.

Murphy added that Lange will be playing a "Marlene Dietrich-type." Dietrich was a German-born movie actress and singer in the 1920s and '30s and became the first German actress to ever be nominated for an Academy Award.

Dietrich was well-known for her sensual voice and generally glamorous sensibility. She entertained the U.S. troops stationed in Nazi Germany and received the U.S. War Department's Medal of Freedom in 1947.

The actress is similar to Fiona Goode, the character Lange played in American Horror Story: Coven. Season 4 will likely feature Lange's character as a German-born diva-type who emigrates to America.
