Skye's life is on the line in Marvel's Agents of SHIELD, and Coulson isn't going to let the hacker go without a fight.

Determined to keep Ian Quinn (David Conrad) from escaping SHIELD's grasp once more, the headstrong consultant decided to take on the divisions' slippery nemesis on her own. Unfortunately for Skye (Chloe Bennet), she received two bullets to the abdomen for her efforts. The former hacktivist is now being held at a cool 44 degrees Fahrenheit as Coulson's (Clark Gregg) team looks for a way to save her.

In his race to save Skye, Coulson may further his investigation into his own terrifying recovery. Pairing up with Ward's (Brett Dalton) former S.O., John Garrett (Bill Paxton), Coulson will find himself trapped in a room packed with explosives with some surprising information.

"There's a lot of sketchy stuff happening and I think were about to get to the bottom of it," Bennet teased about the next few episodes, according to SHIELD TV.

What is clear, however, is how much Coulson cares for the young orphan - and vice versa. Skye went to incredible length's to save her boss during "The Magical Place," and Coulson will return the favor in "Tahiti."

"She's never ever, ever had a relationship like she does with Coulson and he's kind of a cool uncle/father figure for her and someone she really cares about and she's never had that before," Bennet explained in regards to how their dynamic differed from other relationships on the Bus.

Will Coulson's paternal instincts and intense desire to solve his own mystery cloud his judgment, or do they provide just enough of an extra push to help keep him and his team alive?
