Shia LaBeouf wore a paper bag to the Berlin premiere of Nymphomaniac as a reiteration of his response to the recent accusation of plagiarism surrounding his short film, Howard Cantour.com.

The 27-year-old actor strutted in wearing a brown paper bag -- with the words "I am not famous anymore" written on it in black ink -- over his head. The short film, which LaBeouf wrote and directed, recently attracted negative attention as he was accused of plagiarizing from Daniel Clowes' graphic novella Justin M. Damiano.

The actor has also apologized for not crediting the artist that inspired the work on Twitter. Since Jan. 13, LaBeouf has been retweeting the same line -- "I am not famous anymore" -- over and over.

Lars Von Trier, the director of Nymphomaniac, was seen wearing a custom "Persona Non Grata" shirt at the event.

Nymphomaniac follows the story of Joe (Charlotte Gainsbourg), who is a self-proclaimed nymphomaniac, and her recollections of her various sexual escapades and encounters from birth to age 50. The film starts with Stellan Skarsgard's character Seligman finding Joe all bruised and battered in an alleyway. He takes her home and nurses her wounds, and Joe narrates her life story to him.

Von Trier is working on two different versions of the film. The first of which will release in Denmark on Dec. 25 and the second might be screened at the Cannes film festival next year.

In an interview with MTV last year, LaBeouf laid emphasis on the film's explicit nature.

"[The movie] is what you think it is," LaBeouf said. "It is Lars von Trier, making a movie about what he's making. For instance, there's a disclaimer at the top of the script that basically says we're doing it for real. Everything that is illegal, we'll shoot in blurred images. Other than that, everything is happening."
