Now that Michonne (Danai Gurira) has reunited with Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Carl (Chandler Riggs) on The Walking Dead, they may not see any action for a while.

Michonne found Rick and Carl's residence at the end of the midseason premiere Sunday night. Robert Kirkman, who wrote the midseason premiere, told TV Guide after the episode that Michonne, Rick and Carl could be staying at the house for a while.

When asked if the trio would try to find the rest of the group, Kirkman teased, "It's entirely possible that now that they found each other in a safe place, that's really the name of the game."

However, it may not be a pragmatic decision for them, as there is always the threat of danger.

"Leaving that house in order to try and find other people that may or may not be dead isn't a practical decision to make in this world," Kirkman said. "We could see them setting up camp in this house."

The Walking Dead season 4 midseason premiere was a big one for Michonne. The episode featured a flashback which ultimately turned out to be a nightmare with her boyfriend Mike and her son. There will be even more backstory about Michonne in future episodes, according to Kirkman.

"As far as Michonne's story goes, there is much more yet to be revealed," he said. "Flashbacks or not, you will be finding out quite a bit about all of these characters, who they are and what makes them tick as we see them put through their paces."

The Walking Dead season 4 airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on AMC.
