Mariah Carey released her emotional new ballad You're Mine (Eternal) on Wednesday, just in time for Valentine's Day.

On the song, Carey sings about an old love she can't let go of and belts "I can't seem to live without your love."

A remix to the song was also released the same day and it features Trey Songz, who expresses similar feelings over a past relationship.

This isn't the first time the R&B crooner remixed one of Carey's songs. In 2009, he added a verse to Carey's Inseparable from Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel.

You're Mine, produced by Rodney Jerkins, will appear on Carey's first album in four years set for release on May 6. The new single follows #Beautiful featuring Miguel as well as The Art of Letting Go, which are also expected on the record.

Carey's new album was initially supposed to be released last July, but she postponed it for creative purposes.

"While making this album, I got so immersed in the creative process that I just don't feel I would be doing it justice to release it on 7/23," she tweeted last June.

She then added, "I'd rather not exclude meaningful songs. I want to give you this album as it's meant to be heard. When I'm ready, you'll be the first 2 know!"
