Though the new single is perfect for couples who will spend February 14th together, Carey confirmed that she will most likely be spending it without husband Nick Cannon. Adding more fuel to the divorce rumors, when asked what she and Cannon's Valentine's Day plans were, Carey said, "He's not even going to be home from what I hear now."

Sources say that the couple lives separate lives as they work on different coasts, but Carey mentioned that Cannon is a huge romantic, describing him as "festive" when asked about what he has to do for her on special holidays. They do celebrate their anniversary every month with fresh flowers and quality time.

She also denied yesterday's reports that she sold her $12.9 million Bel-Air mansion, before the interview ended, "No darling, that house is quite the expenditure every month, it's there darling, it's there."

During the 40 minute conversation, a very laid back Carey also discussed her experience working on American Idol, saying she did not regret doing the show, but "was hoping to be more of a mentor for the contestants," and "did give them input on the side, when it was alright."  Worried whether or not this decision would affect her career, she even reached out to her friend and fellow musician, Prince, who agreed that "it was the right move" for the former judge.

Her new single, You're Mine (Eternal) was produced by hit maker Rodney Jerkins. However, her confidence in this albums' success comes from FaceTime sessions and her work with longtime music partner, producer, and friend, Jermaine Dupri who accompanied her to the interview.  "Jermaine and I have been working together forever, and I don't think people realize that."  Later adding that working with Dupri was "one of her favorite things about the new remix."  Carey, the 43-year-old mother of two, is set to release her 14th studio album on May 6th, entitled The Art of Letting Go
