Cary Agos and Robyn Budine might get closer in the upcoming episodes of The Good Wife, according to reports.

Robyn, who is played by Jess Wexler on the show, is an investigator, much like Kalinda Sharma (Archie Panjabi).

It is also being speculated that the producers of the show chose to take this interesting turn by having Robyn become somewhat of a third wheel to lend to the dynamic between Cary (Matt Czuchry) and Kalinda.

As Kalinda and Cary were reunited in the latest episode, We, The Juries, of season 5 of The Good Wife, in a recent press event the creators of the show spoke about the nature of their relationship and how things might pan out between them.

In the episode the two firms, Lockhart/Gardner and Florrick/Agos were forced to work together on a pending case from before Cary and Alicia (Juliana Margulies) left Lockhart/Gardner. Another highlight of the episode also brought Cary and Kalinda (Archie Punjabi) together. In the episode Cary still seemed to be bitter about the past and misled Kalinda about a Lockhart/Gardner client so that he could nab him for his and Alicia's new firm.

While the show is going on hiatus again and will not return with the next episode until March 9, the creators, Robert and Michelle King spoke about what to expect from the rest of the season at an event as part of the Television Critics Association press tour on Jan. 15.

It seems like something might start up between Kalinda and Cary. Michelle suggested that the possibility of a relationship between the two will be put to the test.

"Can they pursue each other? Can they sleep with each other and make that exist?" she said.

She went on to suggest that Cary needs to build on the qualities that first drew Kalinda to him.

"What I liked about it is that Kalinda saw a Cary that had balls and was really attracted to that. So Cary's going to want to live up to that Kalinda idea of who he is. Cary as a character is sweet, too, but he needs to harden himself," Michelle said.

The next episode of The Good Wife will air on March 9 at 8/7 p.m. Central Time on CBS.
