Johnny Depp and his fiancee Amber Heard made a rare public appearance together at the 3 Days To Kill premiere on Wednesday night in Los Angeles.

The private couple even kissed and held hands as they walked the red carpet to promote Heard's latest film.

The 27-year-old's costar, Kevin Costner, spoke about the couple's relationship and said the two are fortunate to have found each other.

"We can't get in the way of love. And that's what they found," he told People magazine. "How lucky for them!"

He also boasted about working with Heard on the set of the action-thriller, which comes to theaters on Feb. 21.

"She was great," Costner said. "She had a very exotic role. She's a person who has herself together. Playing an outlandish character - it was not easy for her to find her footing. But we did our job as actors, which was trying to look out for each other."

Heard and Depp, who have been linked since 2012, recently got engaged. The blonde beauty was first spotted with a diamond sparkler on her ring finger as she was leaving Ago restaurant in Los Angeles in January.

Yet, Heard made it clear in a past interview that she refuses to let her personal life overshadow her booming career.

"It's not part of my professional life. I want to be an artist. I don't want to be a celebrity," she told Flare magazine in the September 2013 issue.
