American Idol's Hollywood Week contestants spent Tuesday and Wednesday singing their hearts out in an effort to remain on the Fox show.

After 212 hopefuls were awarded tickets to Hollywood, only 30 were alowed to advance to the live shows. Judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban, and Harry Connick Jr. carefully whittled down the mass of contestants until there were just 15 girls and 15 boys left standing.

Female performers selected to advance include Bria Anai, Jena Asciutto, Andrina Brogden, Kenzie Hall, Jillian Jensen, Jess Meuse, Brandy Neelly, MK Nobilette, Kristen O'Conner, Briana Oakley, Emily Piriz, Majesty Rose, Marielle Sellars, Malaya Watson, and Austine Wolfe.

Male performers selected to advance include Malcolm Allen, Jordan Brisbane, CJ Harris, Ethan Harris, Caleb Johnson, Spencer Lloyd, George Lovett, Briston Maroney, Alex Preston, Dexter Roberts, Maurice Townsend, Casey Thrasher, Sam Woolf, and Emmanuel Zidor.

Hollywood week produced some memorable performances, such as Malaya Watson's rendition of Alicia Keys Brand New Me and Jena Asciutto's performance of Lana Del Rey's Video Games (see video below). Meanwhile, C.J. Harris took the country route with Trouble by Ray LaMontagn (see video below).

American Idol will return to Fox on Tuesday with the Girls, Wednesday with the Boys, and Thursday with results.
