Another character from The Wizard of Oz will be joining Once Upon a Time in the upcoming second half of season 3: Glinda the Good Witch.

Peter Pan Returning for Future Episode?

Actress Sunny Mabrey has officially been cast as Glinda the Good Witch, according to a new report by TVLine. Mabrey's Glinda joins the Wicked Witch (guest star Rebecca Mader) as another Oz character to appear on Once Upon a Time in season 3.

This version of Glinda will be warm-hearted and inherently "good," as her name suggests, but she will also be clever and cautious when it comes to other people. There is no word on when Mabrey will make her first appearance as Glinda.

Rapunzel Episode Similar to Modern Horror Classic?

With the Wicked Witch and Glinda both set to appear in upcoming episodes, it is possible that other characters from the Oz universe will join them. Enstars previously reported that the show's characters will be traveling to Oz in the second half of season 3, so any number of Oz citizens could show up.

Such iconic Oz characters include Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion, the flying monkeys and the Munchkins.

In other Once Upon a Time news, ABC released an official synopsis for the midseason premiere episode set to air on March 9. The episode, titled New York City Serenade, features Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and Henry (Jared Gilmore) living happily in New York City without any memories of Storybrooke. Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) will continue trying to get Emma to remember Storybrooke.

Meanwhile, the various fairy tale characters will be stuck back in the Enchanted Forest dealing with a "desperate situation."

Once Upon a Time season 3 returns for its midseason premiere on Sunday, March 9 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
