Valentine's Day 2014 was a good one for singer and The Voice judge Christina Aguilera, as her boyfriend of three years Matthew Rutler popped the question.

Posting a picture of the two holding hands with a huge ring on finger, Aguilera wrote "He asked and I said..."

It is unclear how many carats the ring is.

The two appeared to be away on a tropical vacation somewhere, as the photo looks out onto a beach and scores of palm trees below.

According to The Daily Mail, the engagement ironically came on the three year anniversary of Aguilera's divorce from ex-husband, Jordan Bratman was finalized.

Aguilera met Bratman back in 2002 when he was working at the star's management company, Azoff Music Management. They married in November 2005 at Staglin Family Vineyard in Napa Valley, California and had a son, Max.

However, the couple were already having problems in 2010, when Aguilera began to work on the movie Burlesque with Cher. Rutler was an assistant for the film.

Aguilera and Bratman split in October of that year, and Aguilera began dating Rutler a month later.

The divorce from Bratman was finalized on Valentine's Day 2011.

As for Aguilera and her new fiancé, they are currently living in her $10 million Mulholland Estates home in Los Angeles, and according to a source, are very eager to begin this new chapter in their lives.

"They're very much in love and really excited to take this next step!" the source said.

No wedding plans have been made official yet.
