After the race, Stenhold told reporters that Patrick did confront him about what happened:  "She was like, 'Man, you drilled me.' I was like, 'Sorry. I didn't know who I hit.'"

Crashes are a dangerous everyday reality of the racing sport, so Patrick did not take it personally.  According to Sporting News, she said, "If his hood wouldn't have been up and he had the inability to see, obviously there would have been more frustration."

"It was one of those racing things," she added.

According to the Bleacher Report, the crash was a chain reaction and "Occurred on the 35th lap, when Matt Kenseth, attempting to avoid Brad Keselowski in the No. 2 car, instead made contact with Joey Logano, setting off a chain-reaction crash that took out almost half the field."

No drivers were hurt in the crash.

Patrick also admitted that despite the race drama, she and Stenhouse were still on a Valentine's Day high thanks to the gift he presented her.

"He got me 18 tin cans of Godiva dark chocolate for Valentine's Day," Patrick said. "So I don't know if he's trying to butter me up or get me fat."
