American Horror Story star Evan Peters recently commented on whether or not he would be returning for season 4 of the horror anthology series.

Who Should Return for American Horror Story Season 4? [POLL]

Peters is one of only five actors who have appeared in all three seasons of American Horror Story. The actor spoke about the series in an interview with Vulture. Responding to the news that season 4 would be more comedic in tone, like season 3's Coven, Peters seemed positive.

"Yeah, yeah. I'm very excited about that," he said. The actor was also asked if this meant that he was confirmed to be in the new season, he was less sure.

"Oh, I don't know. I have no idea yet," he admitted. "But I definitely like that they're continuing on with the lighter side of things."

So far the only actors who have been confirmed for season 4 are fellow regulars Jessica Lange and Sarah Paulson. Chances are high that Peters will be returning for season 4, especially after suggesting that he'd be willing to do American Horror Story for as long as possible.

"I'm ready for every season," he said. "I love the show and think it's a great work environment with great people to work with and very challenging material, so I would like to continue doing it for as long as I can."

Very little has been revealed about American Horror Story's fourth season. The season will reportedly take place in the 1950s and feature Lange sporting a German accent. It will also be Lange's last season on the show.

American Horror Story season 4 premieres in fall 2014 on FX.
