Batman/Superman fans are eagerly awaiting a first look at the new suits the iconic superheroes will be wearing in Man of Steel 2, and they may be ready for release soon.
Forbes blogger Mark Hughes recently tweeted that the suits for Batman and Wonder Woman would be released soon, in addition to Superman's potential new suit. However, Hughes has since said that fans may have to wait longer to see the new suits.
"Sadly, I've sent updated info since that tweet: the delay in filming seems to be causing a delay in the reveal of the suits," Hughes tweeted on Wednesday.
While much of the attention will be surrounding the new Batman and Wonder Woman suits, Superman's suit could see a vast improvement too. Superman's portrayer Henry Cavill has been working out through the holidays in an attempt to bulk up even more for his star-making role. Hughes addressed the Superman suit in previous tweets:
"My guess [about] the 'S' is just [because] Lois told him 'here, it's an S.' So maybe he'd change that now that he's called 'Superman.' ... And I'd guess maybe a belt or something in the waist-area since the design would benefit from something to break up the blue there," he tweeted. "Mostly the suit looked great in [Man of Steel] so I hope they don't do too much to change it besides minor tweaks, anyway. That's my 2 cents."
Man of Steel 2 stars Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Jeremy Irons as Alfred the butler.
Man of Steel 2 is scheduled for release in theaters on May 6, 2016.
