New parents Simon Cowell and Lauren Silverman were seen having some quality shopping time, just days after their baby boy was born.

Since Feb. 14th, Simon Cowell and girlfriend Lauren Silverman have been on cloud nine.  Their baby boy, Eric Cowell-- who was named after Simons' late father, was born a healthy 6lbs 7oz. and is now 5 days old.  After hiding out in their St. Regis NYC hotel, the couple surfaced to go shopping on Fifth ave earlier today.

The pair was pictured smiling and linking arms as they searched Fifth Ave for clothes, and to satisfy Cowell's sweet tooth.  While in NY, Cowell tweeted to his fans, "The best sweet shop in New York is Myzels. It's really old fashioned and sells the most amazing licorice. I have to get some now."

Through Cowell's tweets, it seems that the X-Factor judge is happier than ever.  On Feb. 16th, the 54-year-old tweeted, "The last three days have been incredible. Eric Lauren squiddly and diddly all happy."  

To add to Cowell's happiness, his group One Direction won the Global Success Award at the 2014 Brit Awards over the pond.  He excitedly sent a congratulatory message to the five young men on Twitter, "Congratulations One D! Global success of the year. So happy for you."

With all the good news, it appears that 2014 may just be a good year for the music mogul.
