Dancing With the Stars pro Sharna Burgess is hoping that the show makes a few changes going into season 18.

Burgess spoke to Wetpaint about the upcoming 18th season of Dancing With the Stars, revealing her honest thoughts about the changes made in season 17 and whether or not they should be continued.

"I just hope they get rid of that glitter pit, or whatever they call it, next to the judges. I don't like that," Burgess admitted, referring to the grouping of contestants next to the judges table. "And I think a lot of us say the same."

She added that it is difficult for her, the celebrities and the pros to have to be on camera through the whole show, without having much private time. Before the introduction of the "glitter pit," contestants were placed in the sky box where they were able to focus before performing.

"Whereas this way, we have to sit there the whole time, then get taken out one dance before ours, and then go straight on," she said. "So you don't have any focus time. You just have your celebrity sitting there, watching everyone else dance, getting intimidated."

Additionally, Burgess confirmed that live music would continue to be an element of Dancing With the Stars going forward, despite reports that they were going for a smaller, electronic band in season 18. She said that the new band is not necessarily better, it's just different.

While Burgess did not comment on whether or not she would return for season 18, she is likely hoping for a better season than season 17, assuming she competes. Burgess and partner Keyshawn Johnson were the first couple eliminated last season.

Dancing With the Stars season 18 premieres Monday, March 17 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
