After it was announced that Robert Pattinson may consider becoming a director, rumors swirl that his ex-girlfriend Kristen Stewart might have beat him to it.

Stewart was spotted in Nashville, Tenn. on Tuesday, where she was reportedly directing a music video for the band Sage + the Saints, according to E! News.

"Kristen has always wanted to direct, and no better person to do that for than Sage," a source said.

Photos of the actress were also posted on a fan's Twitter account on Wednesday. One of them featured Stewart standing by a microphone, while another photo showed the actress with her arm around a girl. Stewart flashed a grin while sporting a white top with a small broken heart on it that read "Mystery" underneath.

There was a recent report that claimed Stewart's former boyfriend might make his way into directing films, with the intention to quit acting completely. A source reportedly told Radar Online that the actor might want to focus more on being behind the camera.

"Rob's been talking to a lot of independent filmmakers, and the last thing he wants to do is act in another blockbuster," the source said. "He would like to direct a movie one day."

Apparently, another reason for Pattinson's move into the director's chair is possibly because he wants to step out of the spotlight.

"The cost of fame is the thing he and Kristen used to complain about all day and that hasn't changed at all for him," the source said.
