"They spend a lot of time together but he has not oficially moved back in with her," the site says citing an anonymous source.
According to California law, couples have six months to finalize a divorce, since the proceedings first started.
Vanessa's "waiting period" ends this Sunday and she could finalize her divorce anytime after that.
Kobe and Vanessa married in April 2001 and have two daughters together, Natalia and Gianna.
Soon after, Kobe was arrested for sexually assaulting a 19-year-old employee of an Eagle, Colorado hotel.
The NBA star admitted to have had sexual relationships with her.
