British rapper Tinie Tempah mingled with Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt at this year's BAFTA Awards and was impressed by their unpretentious demeanor.

"I think any time I meet someone who's of that level, I'm always surprised when they're just really down to earth and normal," he told Digital Spy at the Elle Style Awards on Tuesday. "I never thought Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie would be like that."

The rapper, who also performed during Sunday's awards at London's Royal Opera House, also praised the actress for her philanthropy.

"I just commended them on being so nice," he told the website. "I spoke to her about all her kids and the responsibility of being a very fortunate person and setting a good example, which I think she's doing adopting children from other parts of the world."

Jolie, 38, and her fiance, 50, were in attendance to support 12 Years a Slave, which Pitt served as a producer.

The A-list couple sported matching ensemble at the event. Pitt wore a black Valentino tuxedo and bow tie while Jolie wore a Saint Laurent suit on the red carpet.

They also shared some laughs with actress Lupita Nyong'o, who stunned in a green gown.

At the event, Tempah ran into another big star - Oprah Winfrey. The 25-year-old revealed that Winfrey was just as gracious as Jolie and Pitt.

"She was very, very lovely," he stated. "She's one of the people I've always wanted to meet and get a picture with, especially for my mom."

He also posted a photo standing next to Winfrey, with the caption, "Another one ticked off the bucket list! Truly an inspiration in every sense of the word. Need I say more."
