Figure skating gold medalists Meryl Davis and Charlie White could see themselves competing on Dancing With the Stars, according to new reports.

In a teleconference with People magazine before the Olympics, Davis and White talked about potentially participating in the dance-competition show.

"If we were asked to be on that show, I think we would be really excited for that opportunity for sure," Davis said.

While it would be unlikely to see both of them competing on the same season of Dancing With the Stars, it's possible that one or the other could take the offer.

Dancing With the Stars pro Derek Hough helped to choreograph Davis and White's short dance routine at the Olympics, and he voiced his confidence to TV Guide that they could appear on a future DWTS season.

"If they ever do the show, that'd be awesome," he said. Complicating matters would be that the World Figure Skating Championships are being held from March 24-30 in Japan, which is right in the middle of the Dancing With the Stars season.

Several Olympic athletes have competed on Dancing With the Stars in the past, many of them doing very well. Athletes like Kristi Yamaguchi, Shawn Johnson and Apollo Anton Ohno all won their respective DWTS seasons.

Dancing With the Stars season 18 premieres Monday, March 17 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
