Lydia shocked the Teen Wolf world last week with the revelation that Peter Hale is actually a father, and now Ian Bohen is speaking out about his character's new identity.

When Malia (Shelley Hennig) the feral werecoyote was introduced in the season 3B premiere, it appeared that she was merely a case to get Scott (Tyler Posey), Stiles (Dylan O'Brien), and Allison (Crystal Reed) back on their feet. However, if Lydia (Holland Roden) is correct, Malia Tate is really Malia Hale and she still has a role to play.

"He's going to use the revelation to ultimately get what he wants. It's going to be a tool for him," Bohen told E!, later saying, "It's going to be a big deal when he finally gets together with the child. [It is] setting things up for season four."

It looks like his sister had the youngsters best interests at heart when she snatched the memory of her existence from Peter's mind.

"Talia took that memory from him because she didn't want him to corrupt the child," Bohen explained.

Unfortunately, Peter's absence from Malia's life - and the disappearance of the Hales in general - put the young coyote in a dangerous position. Without any knowledge of how to control her shifts, Malia was stuck in her coyote form for nearly eight years.
