More information is coming out about the details of Sinaloa drug kingpin Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman's arrest and his 24-year-old alleged beauty queen wife Emma Coronel.

Chapo Guzman's Wife MIA After His Arrest?

Authorities have confirmed that Coronel was indeed with Guzman when he was taken into custody this past weekend. In fact, Guzman was cooking breakfast for Coronel when officials busted down the door of his condo. They both were hiding in Mazatlán, a beach resort off the Pacific Coast in Mexico on Saturday, Feb. 22, Daily Mail reported.

According to the site, breakfast was still cooking on the stove and Guzman attempted to escape through a tunnel under his bathtub before authorities caught him. He did have an assault rifle with him but didn't fire.

Many continue to wonder who Coronel is. She is said to be the third or fourth wife of Guzman, who is known as the most dangerous drug kingpin in Mexico. While not much information about Coronel is out, the former Miss Coffee and Guava is said to fit his type of woman, as he is known for marrying young, beautiful models for status. Coronel wed Guzman, who has a net worth of $1 billion, on her 18th birthday.

The reported couple has twin girls together, who Coronel delivered just north of Los Angeles, Ca. in August 2011. That was the last time she was seen in the United States. Her father is also rumored to be one of Guzman's go-to men. Coronel is a Mexican and American citizen, so she can freely go back and forth between both countries as she pleases.

If she was brought into custody with Guzman, it's not clear what her terms are. As far as Guzman, authorities are still seeing his arrest as a shock.

A senior law enforcement official said, "We never anticipated, ever, that he would be taken alive."

U.S. officials are hoping he quickly gets extradited here in the states before he has a chance to escape.
