The Bachelor Juan Pablo has broken his silence about former contestant Andi Dorfman walking away from the show after what she called a "disaster" of an overnight date with him.

Andi Dorfman Slams Juan Pablo On Twitter

He opened up about it in his People magazine blog and wrote, "Listening to her interviews shocked me, but like I said before, people feel, think and react differently to situations. The only thing I can say is that I take this process way more seriously than anyone on the other side. Andi had a hard time adjusting to this experience because she wasn't in control, and I understood how she felt. She put words in my mouth by saying that I used the word "default."

Juan Pablo went on to say that while Dorfman claimed that he didn't make any effort to get to know her, he disagreed and said Dorfman told him only what she wanted him to know.

"Does it really matter what her religion is? What color she likes? If religion was very important to one of the girls, I believe she would have told me. In Andi's case, she didn't, so I guess it was not that important to her," he continued.

However, on a positive note, he did say that Dorfman's decision to dump him made his rose ceremony much easier.

"I didn't know what I was going to go do at the time. At the rose ceremony, I wanted to make it clear to [Nikki and Clare] that if either of them had serious doubts, I was open to hearing them. I didn't want to force them to be here if they didn't see potential."

On the next episode, the rejected women will have their chance to speak up about the experience, before the following week's episode when  Nikki and Clare will have their turns in the hot seat when they meet Juan Pablo's family. His final decision will also be revealed.

The Bachelor airs Mondays on ABC at 8/7c.
