There is no specific word if there will be an Iron Man 4 although Ben Kingsley and Iron Man 3 co-writer Drew Pearce have given some hope.

Ben Kingsley To Reprise His Role As Trevor Slattery Again?

Kingsley reprised his role as Trevor Slattery in the short Marvel film All Hail the King, and the actor talked about his role and where it's going in a live interview published on Wednesday.

"After Iron Man 3 wrapped, I thought 'What's going to happen to Trevor?" Kingsley said. "So I visited him in rehab and told him there was going to be a sequel."

Will Robert Downey Jr. Leave Iron Man Franchise?

Kingsley then talked about the details of his character, revealing that he actually looks up to his character.

"I think Trevor is a great survivor," Kingsley said. "I think that if you throw Trevor into the lion's den, he'll talk his way out of it. So it's that side of Trevor that I actually admire."

"He's a bit of a clown, maybe he pretends to be stupid," Kingsley added. "Maybe he's highly intelligent. He's certainly a great survivor...and not a bad actor if I may say so."

Pearce then revealed some information that could create some more hope that an Iron Man 4 could happen. He mentioned that All Hail the King was meant to be a prequel until things changed.

"There was a lot of stuff that kind of came up when we were filming that meant we wanted to keep Trevor Slattery around in the universe for longer and so this was a great way of tapping into that," Pearce said.

As for what could happen next, Pearce seems to have just as much hope as audiences do.

"I hope they love Trevor enough that his adventures can continue in various different forms," Pearce said.
