As Apollo Nida's trial for serious fraud charges quickly approaches, a woman who accused his wife, Phaedra Parks, of leading a previous fraud ring is now afraid for her life.

Kenya Moore Believes Apollo is 'Absolutely' Going to Jail

In a deposition transcript obtained by Radar Online, Angela Stanton, who was involved with the fraud scam that put Nida in jail from 2004-2009, said she has been receiving death threats ever since Parks filed a defamation lawsuit against her. Parks is currently suing Stanton for defamation because of her claims that Parks was the ringleader in the scandal.

Stanton said, "I was receiving death threats. [Apollo Nida's co-conspirator in his alleged fraud scheme,] Everett Tripodis had called my home personally. I have no idea how he found out where I live at. I was afraid."

Stanton added that while she was scared, she knew it was all because of what she was revealing about Parks.

"I knew this case was serious. I knew that a lot of stuff was getting ready to come to light, and I felt as if my life was being threatened," she said. "Even now I still feel the same way, and was just talking to my attorney about why Ms. Parks had to have my personal address [to serve the lawsuit]. I still feel that something may happen."

Stanton has previously claimed that Parks is a "crooked attorney" who was the mastermind behind the previous scandal.

Now, Parks' husband, Nida, is set for trial in a new fraud scam where he is accused of stealing victims' identities to set up fake companies raking in $3 million. HIs trial begins March 25th.
