Tilton, who is also a singer, became very popular for her role on the show, and even graced the cover of People magazine. She has since appeared on the spin-off series of "Dallas", "Knots Landing" in 1980.

The actress also appeared in an episode of "Married... With Children", and several spoof movies including "The Silence of the Hams" and "Superhero Movie".

She received a Former Child Star "LifeTime Achievement Award" in 2000 for her role as Lucy Ewing on Dallas. She as a contestant on Britain's "Dancing On Ice" in 2012.

"Dallas," the dramatic hit soap opera from the 80s is about the Ewings and their two biggest legacies oil and their Southfork Ranch.

The new "Dallas" which returned to TNT on Wednesday received good reviews from TV critics who among other things applauded its comeback and expect to get entertained from its villain's doings.

"[Dallas] is a rare example of an artistically - well, entertainingly, at least - successful TV-classic update. It was all the more impressive for the way it combined members of the original cast with younger-demo-actor draws without quite seeming as cynical as a J.R. Ewing business deal," wrote Entertainment Weekly.

"Never a show or genre designed for critical acclaim, and unlikely to remotely approach the popularity of the original, Dallas is still a kick in those moments when J.R. lays down the law: "Blood is thicker than water - but oil is thicker than both," wrote TV Guide.
"The new 'Dallas' is just terrific," wrote critic Daniel P. Finney. "TNT put together a winner by bringing back enough of the original cast...and mixing them with a dynamo of young cast members."

"Dallas" featured original characters The Ewings J.R. (Larry Hagman), Bobby (Patrick Duffy) and Sue Ellen (Linda Gray) combined with new faces. The drama stars Josh Henderson (Desperate Housewives) as John Ross, JR Ewing and Sue Ellen Ewing's son, who is determined to undermine his grandmother's legacy by drilling for oil on Ewing land.

Jesse Metcalfe (John Tucker Must Die) is Christopher, Bobby's adopted son, who hopes to take the family business in the new direction of alternative energy sources. Jordana Brewster (The Fast and the Furious movies) plays Elena Ramos, John Ross's girlfriend and Christopher's former fiancée. Julie Gonzalo (Veronica Mars) is Rebecca Sutter, Christopher's current fiancée, who is trying to find her place in the vast Ewing family tree. And Brenda Strong (Desperate Housewives) is Ann, Bobby's wife, whose beauty and grace are matched by a fierce resolve to maintain peace within the family. younger talents.

On Episode 1, "Hedging Your Bets" the plot to take control of Southfork gets complicated when two-timing affairs and blackmail arise, and J.R. starts to ask one too many questions. Meanwhile, Christopher and Elena bury their feelings in order work together on a business deal. But Christopher's new bride may be hiding her own secrets.

The TV show's cast expects the series to have a similar kind of appeal as it did 30 years ago.

"I sure hope so, otherwise we are wasting our time! No, listen. If it gets half the people watching that we had for the original, we would probably be No. 1 nowadays. With the built-in audience we have left from a couple of generations ago, and the new kids that are really good actors, and good scripts, I think it will be successful. And if it is not, it's fun anyway," actor Hagman told Reuters recently.

The series also have appeal for audiences abroad, including Germany, England, Ireland, France, North Africa, South America and India.

The series air Wednesdays on TNT at 10 p.m. EST.
