Nicholas Hoult opened up about his relationship with Jennifer Lawrence in VMan magazine and revealed that the Oscar winner has stayed grounded despite all her fame.

"It's like that thing whereby you don't believe your own hype. Enjoy the good times, but don't get swept away with it," the 24-year-old said about Lawrence's ability to stay humble, via The Huffington Post.

"I think that's something she's capable of doing, and that's what makes her special... But yeah, it is very odd, and I am just kind of a bystander in many ways. It is well-deserved for her. I haven't really seen any change in her."

As far as how fame has affected their relationship, Hoult said, "The privacy thing obviously changes but the rest pretty much stays the same."

Lawrence and Hoult met on the set of X-Men: First Class back in 2011 and dated for the following two years. They broke up in January 2013, but reunited while filming the movie's sequel.

"In this business you are away from one another for long periods of time, so when you're on set together it's a brilliant thing, because you actually get to spend time together," Hoult also told the magazine.

Yet, Lawrence isn't the only unpretentious one. The actress once gushed to U.K.'s Vogue about Hoult and his good looks.

"He has absolutely no idea how good-looking he is," she said in the magazine's November 2012 issue. "I think a lot of women and men hate me because of that."
