True Blood star Ryan Kwanten recently spoiled that some of the main characters will be dying in the upcoming seventh and final season of the show.

Kwanten, who plays Jason Stackhouse on the HBO vampire series, was interviewed by Access Hollywood this week and revealed some shocking details about the final season.

When asked what surprised him about the final season, Kwanten revealed that some favorite characters could wind up dead.

"We're leaving nothing to chance in this particular season," he said. "People are going to be dying. Some of your favorites are going to be - not lasting the season, unfortunately."

While many main characters have turned into vampires over the course of True Blood's six seasons, relatively few have died. With so many characters still being around from the first season, it is possible that one or multiple beloved characters will be dead as True Blood nears its end.

In other True Blood spoiler news, recurring guest star Tara Buck has been bumped up to series regular ahead of the final season of the show, according to Deadline. Buck plays Ginger, the barmaid who first appeared in season 1 and has made appearances in the show ever since.

Buck joins a rapidly expanding cast of series regulars that has now grown to over 20 names long.

True Blood season 7 premieres in summer 2014 on HBO, though the network has not yet scheduled a specific air date.
