Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss is on the latest cover of JET Magazine, and confirmed that she's still marrying fiance Todd Tucker despite Mama Joyce's disapproval.

If you've tuned into Real Housewives of Atlanta this season, you've seen the heartbreak Kandi Burruss has suffered because of the unfortunate relationship between the two people she loves the most.  Mama Joyce does not want Todd Tucker to marry her daughter because she thinks he's not financially stable.  

In this season alone, Mama Joyce's antics have made her a trending topic on Twitter and the topic of various heated discussions on how much power parents should have in the lives of their adult children.

However, Burruss never says anything bad about her mom, even when Todd hinted at being so fed-up, that he could leave.  According to the released interview excerpts on March 10, Mama Joyce seems to have backed down.  She was quoted as saying,  "I pray that I am wrong. If they are married and it lasts I will be the first to apologize."

When Burruss was asked to explain why her mother is so upset with Todd, she said, "When my mother was younger it was all about getting a man to be a provider. She leans toward a man who who is financially more well-off than the dude who is just a good guy."

Burruss went on to credit Tucker for making her a person in many ways.

"I love that Todd is affectionate and relationship-oriented," she said. "But he's also a leader and a planner, and because of his production background he makes me a better businesswoman."

So, will she and Todd ever really get married?  "We are moving forward," she dished.  "I have a date, but I'm not saying."

Fans will just have to keep tuning into The Real Housewives of Atlanta, which airs Sunday nights at 8/7c on Bravo, to find out when the happy couple will tie the knot.
